1)Jatt and Juliet 2:

With the good looking stars, brilliant music, eye-catching locales, a fine plot and loads of entertainment packed in, Jatt and Juliet 2 is a clear winner in 2013 so far! The prized team of Anurag Singh, Dheeraj Rattan  along with actors like, Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, rolled out a blockbuster that simply, changed the dynamics of Punjabi cinema. It would not be wrong to say that it’s going to take many years for any Punjabi film to break the kind of records this movie has set. With a bumper record-breaking of 1.4 crore on the first day itself, in India, Jatt and Juliet 2 won the hearts of not just the masses allover the world but earned brownie points from the critics the world over as well.

2)Sadda Haq:

This movie challenged the established trend of comedies in Punjabi cinema, and brought forth a film based on a contentious issue. Even though the film had to face ban in India initially, yet Sadda Haq became a superhit abroad. Later, when the film got released in India, it was well appreciated for its neutral stance and the sensitivity that the film-makers showed in highlighting the truth of terrorism in Punjab. The movie did a stupendous business of Rs. 18 crore.

3)Lucky Di Unlucky Story

The movie was a comic-thriller and had almost the same star cast as that of Carry on Jatta. Many people felt that it was even better than Carry on Jatta and some thought it’s still not upto the mark. The movie was a superhit!

4). Singh vs. Kaur:

Singh vs. Kaur presented something totally new to the Punjabi audience. The southy-styled action-packed movie, established Gippy Grewal as the action hero of Punjab. The movie saw a great performance from this guy and was well supported by Surveen Chawla and Binnu Dhillon as well. This was a runaway hit.

5) Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22:

Amit Prasher’s Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 was a full-on comedy. Not only did Binnu plunder praise for this film but Amrinder Gill also displayed his abilities well as an actor. The film was a semi-hit at box office.
